Generating Keywords

When researching for this assignment, using different combinations of keywords will be very helpful. Below are a few keywords to help you begin developing a search:

virtual communication tool business communication application/platform/software
digital technology review
information sharing technology                  case study
business collaboration tool workplace communication
remote communication remote collaboration

You can also search for the name of the company or product you're investigating. Keep in mind that smaller, less widely used products will have less information from third parties available. 


Try combinations of the terms above. Below are a few example search combinations using keywords:

  • "Microsoft Teams" AND review
  • Slack AND software AND business communication
  • virtual collaboration AND software or tool or application AND business

Boolean Operators

Using Boolean operators allows you to create more specific search strings, helping you narrow search results. Connect search keywords or phrases with ANDOR, and NOT. The graphic below explains how each operator functions.
