How Can I Tell if a Journal is Peer Reviewed?

There are two approaches you an take to determine if a journal is peer reviewed (scholarly):

1. You can go to the journal's website and look for the words, "peer reviewed" or 'refereed" in the journal description or in the "Information for Authors" section.

[or]

2. You can use the Ulrichsweb™ Global Serials Directory database, available through the Mardigian Library, to find information about the journal. Look for the refereed symbol which is an open book.
