CHEM 450 - Advanced Organic Synthesis

There are several ways to find journal articles about chemistry-related topics. Some tools that you may have used in the past include:

• the search box on the library's home page
• ScienceDirect (one possible publisher's search engine)
• Google Scholar
• other library databases such as Wiley Online Library, SpringerLink, etc.

However, in this class, you will be using specialized chemistry databases: Reaxys and SciFinderⁿ. Tutorials are included on other pages of this guide to help you navigate these tools. Since these tools only include abstracts of the articles that you find, the tutorials also show how to find the full text.
