ECON 438/538 - Behavioral Economics for Business and Economic Policy

Economic Topics - Locating Materials

The goal of this guide is to help economics students locate quality resources for their economics projects.

Help Developing and Narrowing a Topic

Coming up with a topic is often one of the hardest things about the research process.  Below you can view How to Develop a Good Research Topic and also go to other resources on developing a research topic.  Also, try looking at Narrowing a Topic and Defining a Research Question for help in this part of the research process or look at other resources about narrowing a topic.  These resources are not specific to economics so you need to think of these in the context of coming up with a topic and narrowing it in general.

Now that you have a topic you can begin to use a research tool to begin your research.  To continue you can select Find Data, Find Articles, or Find Books.  You will likely need to use all three of these sections depending on the requirements of your assignment.  Remember, you may need to use some ot the developing and narrowing techniques you learned in the resources above as you continue to research your topic.
