Be careful of hoax sites like Dihydrogen Monoxide, Great Lakes Whales, Male Pregnancy, or Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus. Sometimes, they look professionally done and authoritative, but generally do not have sections like "About Us" or "Contact Us". And, they usually don't have copyright dates.
If a professor posted an article on his website, why? If you can't find the article in a professional journal, there might be a reason (maybe it wasn't considered worthy of publication).
