How do I put library books or DVDs on reserve for my course?
Complete the Faculty Course Support Request form to have books and DVDs put on Course Reserve for your course(s). As you fill out the form, please remember:
- Select a loan period which fits the needs of your students: 2-hour, 3-hour, 4-hour, 24-hour, 2-day, 3-day, 7-day, or a term loan
- To provide the library with any personal copies you want to have on reserve
- If materials that you need are not already owned by you or by the library, we will try to obtain them, following these guidelines
- If you would like to put your own books or DVDs on Course Reserve, please indicate in the Notes field on the form that you would like the books back at the end of the semester
- The library will follow guidelines for copyright and multiple copies
- Reserve requests are generally processed in 3-5 working days from the time they are received
- You can have items placed on permanent course reserve, in which your item will remain on the Course Reserves shelf and won't be removed at the end of the semester. If the item experiences a two-year period of inactivity, it will be removed.
- For more information, or to search for items currently on reserve, visit the Course Reserves web page
