Included in the article are many specific cost-management strategies, along with discussion of provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to the extent that they could affect employers’ costs. The article does not address strategies for controlling the costs of other employee benefits such as retirement plans or paid-time-off arrangements.
