• develop your topics into focused thesis statements
• use Mardigian Search to find academic journal articles
• describe the peer-review process and why it's important to your professors
• read and analyze your journal articles to find key information
• evaluate and select sources that are appropriate for university-level research
• use your sources to build your evidence, arguments, and conclusions
• cite your sources in APA format
• write your topic proposal and your final paper
