How to generate topic ideas

In order to generate ideas for your research paper, you could begin by looking at datasets found in the library’s statistical databases. For example, use the Data-Planet Statistical Data Sets database. Check out the “In the News” section for statistics that were just released or browse topics (listed below), looking for variables of interest:
