Many students choose to use LaTeX if they include equations in the thesis. If you don't have many equations, if you are including a lot of relatively simple equations, or if you are including a number of equations that are similar to each other consider using Word for your thesis. Word can do some very sophisticated mathematical equations!
The following video tutorial demonstrates how to create an equation from scratch; copying, pasting, and modifying equations; and how to insert an equation (and renumber an equation) if you forgot to add one. Both menu buttons and keyboard shortcuts are demonstrated.
