It is a Book Review if...?

Many times you will locate a great article for your research, only to discover it is a book review.  Long book reviews (3 + pages) sometimes appear to be a scholarly articles.

However, it is a book review if...

The word "review" or "book review" appears near the top of the article page.

The author of the article and their affiliation is at the end of the article

There are no footnote(s) in the article.

There are no "Works Cited" or "Notes" or "References"  at the end of the article.

The article is from a publication with "review" in the title - ex.  (The New York Times Book Review, Kirkus Reviews)

Article is from a newspaper (The Detroit Free Press, USA Today)
