BCHM 496 - Complex Systems

A guide that covers using the library's search engine, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and SciFinder.

Searching Google Scholar

Many professors use Google Scholar. It indexes many more items, and includes many of the articles in the databases that we provide access to. In fact, if you use the link to Google Scholar on the library's website, Google will even link you directly to articles that we provide access to. If you don't access Google Scholar through the library's website, you will often be taken to a publisher's website and be asked to pay for the article — even though the library has already paid for access.

In the tutorial below, we'll see how you should access Google Scholar.
