Free SoftwareAccess to ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online is discontinued after you graduate. Instead of ArcGIS, you can use many free GIS programs that are available for download. For example:

QGIS — Create, edit, visualize, analyze, and publish geospatial information on Windows, Mac, Linux, BSD (Android coming soon).
Note: QGIS can be accessed from computer lab computers.

GRASS GIS — GRASS (Geographic Resources Analysis Support System), is a free and open source GIS software suite used for geospatial data management and analysis, image processing, graphics and maps production, spatial modeling, and visualization.
