- Identify the keywords of your topic and use those as your search words.
- Each book and article has tags assigned to it, words or shorts phrases that make each book or article searchable - you want your search words to match those tags.
- Example research question: Does corn syrup cause obesity?
- Search words: corn syrup obesity.
2. How do I focus the search hits to Peer-Reviewed Journal Articles?
- In the Refine Your Search sidebar:
- Click on Peer Review
- Click on Journal article under the Content Type heading
3. How do I focus the search hits to recent articles or books:
- In the Refine Your Search sidebar:
- Under Publication Date, move the scroll bar arrow over to the year your professor specifices, i.e. 2008 to present
