Kanopy is a video streaming platform that offers easy access to foreign and feature films, documentaries, and instructional videos.
Films in Kanopy can be viewed by any authorized UM-Dearborn user, and can be screened for a group providing the group is made up entirely of authorized UM-Dearborn users and no admission is charged for the screening.
Authorized UM-Dearborn users include currently registered students, faculty, and staff. UM-Dearborn Alumni are not currently considered authorized users for the purposes of accessing library databases.

To create links to films in Kanopy:

First, make sure the machine you are viewing videos from meets the minimum technical requirements.
To view your video:

Kanopy also offers an app for iOS, Android, and Roku. To use the app, you must first sign up for a Kanopy user profile using your UMICH email address.
Check that your device meets the minimum technical requirements to stream video through the Kanopy app.
Creating a profile is free, but not necessary if viewing videos through your web browser on a mobile device.
