Week 6 - 7 - The Final Solution

Increase your understanding of the Final Solution by once again going beyond the UMD library.  In addition to utilizing tools like MeLCat you can also take advantage of Interlibrary Loan (ILL).  This will allow you to have articles emailed to you that the library has no full text of.  The ILL process is typically linkable from an article citation or record in the database you are searching in that does not have the full text of the desired article.  However, you can also go directly to ILL and request an article if you have a citation and you know the library does not have that journal that has that article.  You can also use ILL to retireve books from other libraries.  First though, look in the UMD and MeLCat systems before using ILL for books.  Typically, the UMD or MeLCat system will have an item you are looking for so do not needlessly fill out an ILL form and wait longer to get an item that is on the shelves or will get to this library quicker through MeLCat.  You can create an ILL account here
