OER Task Force Grants 2019

In Winter 2019, the OER Task Force launched a pilot round of OER grants, with eligibility limited to CASL faculty, for courses that would launch in Fall 2019. The total allocated for these grants was $5,000, and grants were awarded in March 2019. Faculty worked to adopt library and OER materials in conjunction with the OER Task Force and Mardigian Library subject librarians.

Grants were awarded as follows:

Library Materials Grant

  • Global Cultures (First Year Experience) - Jorge Gonzalez del Pozo

  • Technical Writing for Engineers -  Pamela Todoroff, 15 sections annually, ~360 students

OER Adoption Grant

  • Calculus I - Mark Radosevich, 11 sections annually, ~352 students

  • Microeconomics - Hans Czap and Antonios Koumpias, 8-12 sections annually, ~ 300 students

OER Remixing Grant

  • Differential Equations - Yulia Hristova and Mike Dabkowski, 8 sections annually, ~200 students
