Textbook affordability and access have been and continue to be serious issues for many students at UM-Dearborn. To address this, the UM-Dearborn OER Task Force, in conjunction with the librarians at the Mardigian Library and the instructional designers at the Hub for Teaching and Learning, has put together the following information to guide your selection, evaluation, and integration of free, open source, electronic textbooks, as well as an array of the library’s journal articles, eBooks, and streaming films which are already built into the cost of student tuition. Together, both OER textbooks and library materials can provide you and your students in Summer II and Fall 2020 with high-quality electronic resources easily integrated into Canvas at no additional cost.
